Communities
We are working with a large number of community-groups in Norfolk and Suffolk. We advocate response-led projects which often result in unexpected learning and surprising conclusions. The use of World Art objects from the Sainsbury collection helps stimulate analysing-techniques, discussion and joint activity which can inform an objective view of local environments and the countryside.
The Culture of the Countryside project has been working with communities throughout East Anglia and is developing a rich and well-founded understanding of what it means to have a sense of place. The Project takes a sensitive and thoughtful approach to communities and groups, one which does not impose but seeks to discover, to increase understanding by making comparisons, and to celebrate. This way of working has resulted in high quality events and performances. The Project enjoys consistent support from the SCVA Marketing and Administration teams, and benefits from the considerable experience of creative Project staff.
