Printmaking

Thompson is a primary school in the heart of a very rural, strongly agriculture area, that also has extraordinary natural features nearby including the famous pingos.  The school was visited on two separate occasions, to work with two different classes and two different teachers.  The programme was similar on both days, working from Papua New Guinean objects to make connections with local histories and traditions.  On both days, the culmination was printmaking, which resulted in extraordinary classroom displays, similar to street bunting.
