Trees and wood-carving

Trees and wood-carving were the central themes at Mundford. Connections were made between the carved symbolism of Papua New Guinean artifacts and the richly symbolic carvings that could be enjoyed and studied in the local church. The wider environment of the Thetford Forest was explored by visiting local woods, where pupils could study woodland flora and fora firsthand alongside parents and people from the Mundford community.
